In Beauty and the Beast Final Season Episode 1 “Monsieur et Madame Bete”, Peter Wingfield plays Beast Hunter. It was filmed in 2015, before going to the Scripps Mercy Hospital for internship.

Story & Peter’s Role


Vincent (the Beast) and Cat’s honeymoon in Paris is cut short when they discover an assassin is targeting Vincent. Peter plays that assassin, actually a bounty hunter, and he tortures and kills people to get information about the Beast. He finally kidnaps Cat in front of her husband, without being witnessed by anyone…

To be candid, I am a bit disappointed by Peter’s roll on its characteristics as he is underwritten. Meaninglessly cruel, less morale, and he has even no name, just a bounty hunter (Beast Hunter, IMDB calls…). Although I am happy to watch his recent acting, I just wish that he would have had more great role as a villain…

ビンセント(ビースト)とキャットは前シーズンの最後で結婚、ハネムーンからシーズン4はスタート。しかし、ビーストの存在をネットに書き綴るブロガーが何者かに拷問・惨殺され、ふたりはハネムーンを切り上げて捜査に加わる。その暗殺者というのがピーター演じる賞金稼ぎなのだけど、500万ドルのためには拷問も殺人もいとわず、普段はたぶん希少動物とかも金のために殺してまわっていそうなキャラクター。名前すらちゃんと出てきません。2015年に医学大学を卒業後、サンディエゴの病院でインターンを始める前に、Riverworldの監督スチュアート・ジラードの誘いで実現したゲスト出演ですが、残酷な悪役とはいえ、もうすこし意味ある役どころにして欲しかった。

元陸上選手、前傾姿勢で走れる50代ってなかなかいないと思います。

The hunter stalks Cat in the middle of crowd and kidnaps her. Why the Beast cannot find him – he looks so unusual! 🙂

自分を囮にしたキャット、まんまと捕まる。こんな怪しい人に気づかないビースト。

He is about to torture Cat. He calls himself as a businessman, who just cares about raising money from hunting. Someone would pay 5 million dollars for the Beast. He doesn’t care if the prey would be human targets or exotic animals.

キャットも拷問しようとするハンター。500万ドルのためなら獲物は人間だろうが希少動物だろうが構わない、自分はただのビジネスマンだ、と言い放つ。

As always, face recognition system in TV drama is too excellent.

1枚目、これで判別できる顔認識システムすごすぎです。

Cat fights back. Unfortunately, the lead characters are always so strong. 😦

The Beast Hunter looks surprised and even scared when he finally meets Vincent as the Beast.
