今日はピーター・ウィングフィールドの誕生日。俳優から医師に転身したピーター、コロナ禍で大変な時期が続いているけれどもピーター自身も健康に過ごしていてほしいです。
This is the *real* Closing Ceremony free of technical difficulties with the full organizing committee of Highlander Worldwide. Chairperson Carmel Macpherson introduced name of the guests one by one and at the end of her comment, she mentioned Peter Wingfield who could not attend the convention this time.
I appreciate HLWW for organizing this virtual convention. I had much fun! 🙂
HLWWのカーメル・マクファーソンさんが、技術的な問題でリアルタイムにうまく流れなかったクロージングのかわりにFacebookに運営委員会のメンバーと動画でメッセージをアップ。ゲストへの感謝の言葉の最後に、今回参加できなかったピーター・ウィングフィールドについて言及してくれました。メソスを演じたピーター、「ハイランダー」の世界には欠かせない存在ですが、今は心臓麻酔医として忙しく働いています。
コンベンションもリモートで参加できる。良い時代になりました。2020年3月のPWFCのイベントにリアルに参加すればよかったな、と今でもちょっと後悔していますが、いつかまたピーターも参加するイベントが実現しますように。
HLWW: WatcherCon 2021 was fantastic. Because of time difference, I missed some sessions during nighttime in Japan but all of the sessions are available to rewatch for 48 hours from end of the con. I am catching up now…
It seems that Highlander: TV Series Blu-ray Complete Series will be coming soon. Wow.

Unfortunately, Peter Wingfield seems to be unable to join it. The event starts online from 8 AM California Time on August 21, 2021. I’ve got my ticket but perhaps cannot attend it full-time because of the time difference…
